Therapy FAQs

What happens during a therapy session?

In our sessions, you’ll have a private space to talk openly about whatever you're going through. I’ll be here to listen without judgment. I’ll work with you to understand what’s going on and encourage you to explore what you truly want next in your story.

How do I know if I need therapy?

You don’t need to have a crisis or diagnosis to benefit from therapy. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or just not happy, it’s an option to explore that could help you thrive.

Can I just talk to a friend?

It’s great to have friends there for you, and I encourage you to talk to them!

My role is different because I don’t need anything back from you. You also don’t need to worry about the impact of what you say.

I’m also here to encourage self-awareness and change, not only letting your emotions out.

How long does therapy take to work?

Much like going to the gym, what “working” looks like depends on your goals. You might find your goals change along the way.

I invite you to be patient, and give yourself time to notice a difference.
